Eric Werner
Eric Werner studied Tibetology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Hamburg (2007–2011) where he received his BA degree in 2011. He was also a visiting student at the Tibet University in Lhasa (2010) and at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands (2013). Since 2011 he has been an MA student for Tibetan Studies at the University of Hamburg. His research interest lies in scholastic literature from the twelfth to fourteenth century with a special emphasis on depictions of Mahāyāna-Philosophy within bKa’-gdams-pa writings in general and the writings of Phywa-pa Chos-kyi-seng-ge (1109–1169) in particular, and the Tibtean doxographical (grub mtha’) tradition of the same period.
