We are happy to announce the launch of the Academic Research Consortium for Ancient Scriptures (ARCAS), a long-term project funded by the Khyentse Foundation. ARCAS, which involves scholars who absorbed the four-year ARPI program led by Prof. Dorji Wangchuk and Dr. Orna Almogi, is devoted to a study of early literature of the rNying-ma tradition. The first five years of the project (mid. 2024 – mid. 2029) focus on groundwork bibliographical research concerning Ancient scriptures and treatises. The result will first be published in the form of catalogues and later on also online.
Executive committee: Kyabjé Shéchen Rabjam Rinpoché (Chair), Khenpo Sonam Tshewang from Namdroling Monastery (Executive Director), Khenpo Gyurme Tsultrim from Shechen Monastery (Vice Executive Director), Prof. Dr. Dorji Wangchuk and Dr. Orna Almogi, both from Universität Hamburg (Academic Supervisors).
