The “gSung-rten: Input Workshop 1” (December 5–6, Universität Hamburg) is a follow-up of the “gSung-rten: Brainstorming Workshop” (June 20–21, 2014). The “gSung-rten: A Glossary of Technical Terms of Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhist Textual and Book Cultures” is a database for terms related to Tibetan Textual Scholarship—including both text and book cultures—as it has been practiced throughout the Tibetan cultural sphere that was launched in mid-2014 by the Khyentse Center for Tibetan Buddhist Textual Scholarhsip (KC-TBTS). The present workshop is conceived of as a two-day input meeting aiming at inputting new entries, while discussing the further development of the database, addressing technical and conceptual issues, and reviewing the guidelines for contributors.
