Dimitri Pauls
Dimitri Pauls studied Tibetology (major) and Mathematics and Indology (minors) at the University of Hamburg. He obtained his MA in 2011 with a thesis about an early rDzogs-chen text ascribed to Vairocana (titled “Rin po che rtsod pa’i ’khor lo – Kritische Edition und annotierte Übersetzung”). Currently he is working and writing his PhD thesis at the“Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures” within the framework of the subproject “C02: Doxographical Organisational Schemes in Manuscripts and Xylographs of the Collection of the Ancient Tantras” focusing on the rDzogs-chen tantra Bodhicittabhāvanā. His main research interests are the Indian and Tibetan Vajrayāna traditions, especially rDzogs-chen, and manuscript studies.
