Guy Grizman
Guy Grizman studied East Asian Studies (major) and Political Science (minor) at Tel Aviv University, where he received his B.A. He obtained his M.A in 2014 from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a thesis about the bKa-brgyad tradition of the rNying-ma school (titled “The Founding Myth of the bKa’-brgyad Tradition”). Currently he is writing his PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dorji Wangchuk at the Universität Hamburg, focusing on Nyang-ral Nyi-ma-’od-zer’s Rig ’dzin ’dus pa’i rgyud which belongs to the bKa’ brgyad bde gshegs ’dus pa cycle. He is a current holder of a PhD scholarship from the “Minerva Stiftung.” Gritzman’s main research interests is Vajrayāna Buddhism in India and Tibet in general, and the early phase of the rNying-ma school of Tibetan Buddhism in particular.
